Bubble belt chair by Andrew Riiska

The Bubble Belt Chair was designed intentionally to be the most wasteful chair by allowing the user to use a new sheet of bubble wrap with every sit. It highlights the abundance of waste used during shipping and encourages people to be mindful. It was made from recycled Douglas Fir that was once a conveyer belt in Cannery Row in Northern California. The use of this wood lends to the critique of shipping because it was originally used for the mass production of sardine canning.
