African Indigo Mudcloth Throw
A House of Woo Favorite! In a time-intensive process, whereby local artisans soak cotton strips in natural indigo dye and dry in the sun, then hand paint traditional geometric patterns using fermented river mud and bark. Rich in meaning, the geometric markings often tell a story about the maker or local history. Woven and dyed by hand, each one is one of a kind.

- Minor imperfections, or signs of age, are an inherent part of our handmade textiles and add to the originality of the piece.
- Note: Each mudcloth has been washed by hand, which significantly reducing the possibility of color transfer. But it still may transfer onto lighter colors.
